Give Him (and Yourself) More Than a Tie: Aim for a Better Father’s Day!
This event is a six-hour ultimate gift of skill and spite (friendly, of course) for the man who has everything: an afternoon of training, competition, and bragging rights (maybe!).
The Brave Lizard Tactical team has cooked up a two-for-one (2 for 1) couples-only experience for Father's Day weekend where wives and their husbands, daughters and their fathers, or gals and their guys can come to the range for a day of fun and friendly competition against each other. The event will begin with the gals operating in a female-only bay and the guys operating in a male-only bay, where both groups will train and learn how to shoot a course of fire. A female instructor will lead the female bay, and a male instructor will lead the male bay. The no-pressure environment of each of the isolated bays will include a bracket-style competition in which the women compete against each other and the men compete against each other. The winners of those competitions will then meet in the big showdown and ultimate Battle of the Sexes: "Man vs. Woman!"
This 2 for 1 means you pay for one participant (e.g., wife), and the other participant (e.g., husband) is included at no charge. Just make sure you and your significant other sign the Waiver of Liability before attending the event.
This experience is open to shooters at all levels, but having a prior pistol-shooting background, such as being a former BLT student, is preferred. If you're a brand new shooter, we'd recommend taking a formal class first. You're welcome to reach out to events@bravelizard.com to arrange a private formal class before the event.

The ammunition for this event should be range-grade or practice-grade. For example, if you shoot a 9mm handgun, any ammunition labeled 115-grain FMJ or 124-grain FMJ is sufficient. For ammo questions, email events@bravelizard.com, and an expert will reply.
The Brave Lizard Tactical team stresses the importance of bringing good and safe working gear. You want your firearms to be safe, clean, and ready to go to work.

Waiver
=========
All Range participants must electronically sign a Release, Waiver, Indemnification, Hold Harmless, and Assumption of the Risk Agreement (“Waiver of Liability”). The following link provides access to electronically sign the Waiver of Liability agreement.

Please complete the Waiver of Liability agreement before you arrive for the event. You are required to sign a Waiver of Liability once every twelve months.

Arrival
=========
Please arrive fifteen minutes before the published start time. The first segment of an event starts promptly on time. The preamble, including assembly, Waiver of Liability verification, firearms inspections, and a range orientation briefing, will take place approximately ten minutes before the start of the first segment. The day will conclude at the approximate published time of the event you are attending.
All Range attendees and participants are prohibited from bringing live ammunition or loaded firearms into a classroom or event rally point prior to authorization. Containerized unspent factory or reloaded ammunition is considered live ammunition. If you are a concealed carry holder attending an instructor-led event, please leave your firearm in the vehicle that you arrived in until the Brave Lizard Team has authorized you to bring your firearm and ammunition into the event rally point.
Brave Lizard Tactical emphasizes the importance of safety for all attendees and participants at its events and facilities, requiring them to comply with its safety protocols. If you require clarification on the meaning of the content in the above paragraphs to comply with those safety protocols, please discuss that with your Instructor, the ROIC, or an RSO when you arrive before bringing your firearm or ammunition to a rallying point, including a classroom. You may also email events@bravelizard.com before you arrive, and a Brave Lizard Tactical teammate will assist you.

Automated systems that provide route directions, such as Google Maps or Waze, may direct you to travel on poorly maintained roads. Use the following directions for the best access to the Range:
Directions From Cedar City, UT
Go West on UT-56 towards Beryl Junction for ~40 miles (past Beryl Junction for 7.6 miles)
Go North (right) on N 5600 W for ~6.7 miles (keep straight through the farms)
The range will be to the West (left) after ~6.7 miles (you'll see the shooting berms to the west and eventually the gravel entrance road into the property fronted by "Brave Lizard Tactical" and "FOB Gunslinger" signs)
Directions From St. George, UT
Go North on UT-18 towards Enterprise and Beryl Junction for ~51.5 miles
Go West (left) on UT-56 for ~7.6 miles
Go North (right) on N 5600 W for ~6.7 miles (keep straight through the farms)
The range will be to the West (left) after ~6.7 miles (you'll see the shooting berms to the west and eventually the gravel entrance road into the property fronted by "Brave Lizard Tactical" and "FOB Gunslinger" signs)

Signage and other indicators will be present for arrival and initial rally points, including parking.
IMPORTANT: The road coming into the property, 5600 W, cuts through multiple farms. Please be respectful of the owners and their families of those farms and REDUCE SPEED to 20-25 MPH. Please be considerate of the dust and the children playing. It's a 6-mile drive down 5600 W to the property entrance after you leave Highway 56. Take your time and enjoy the beautiful range through your windshield to the north.
IMPORTANT: The road coming into the property, 5600 W, is well-maintained and surrounded by private ranches and Bureau of Land Management (BLM) property. One or more cattle guard gates traversing the road may be closed, making the road appear closed. Wherever there is a closed cattle gate, a minor side road will exist around it, crossing over a grated cattle guard. Drive over the grated cattle guard and keep going. Welcome to Southern Utah!

It is rare for the Brave Lizard Tactical team to reschedule an event due to weather conditions. Brave Lizard Tactical Instructors and RSOs will shoot and operate in all weather conditions except when the weather represents a safety hazard (e.g., lightning, excessively high winds, extreme cold, or extreme heat). When Brave Lizard Tactical Instructors have judged that the weather will represent a safety hazard, you will receive an email communication a minimum of twenty-four (24) hours in advance, relaying that data, including reschedules. You are responsible for monitoring your email address for possible weather-related communication, including event schedule changes.
The weather conditions at the Range are out of your control and that of Brave Lizard Tactical. Being prepared to operate in all weather conditions provides you an advantage over a threat actor who is not trained to operate in similar conditions. However, when you believe the weather conditions present an undue hardship, extremely unpleasant experience, or safety hazard for your abilities, please email events@bravelizard.com expressing that sentiment, and a Brave Lizard Tactical teammate will assist you.

Brave Lizard Tactical does not offer refunds but will work with every registered attendee or participant to reschedule their event at no charge.

Sustenance
=========
You are responsible for your water and nutrition. Bring enough water to last you throughout the day and to prevent dehydration. More water is better than less water. You want plenty of water and protein snacks to keep you going throughout the day. You will take short breaks during the day, including a lunch break, to rehydrate and maintain your energy level with proper nutrition.

Turn this event into "Couples Retreat Weekend" and reserve an RV or RV spot! Reserving an RV for Friday evening or Saturday evening also includes additional range access at no charge on Friday and Sunday.
RVing & camping are permitted on the property. There are full RV hookups (water, power [20/30/50], and septic) on the property.
